Ok, that may be a little harsh but think about it for a second. The political process was more disturbing than usual in 2020. Joe Biden took office, which in and of itself, wasn’t that surprising. Moderate Democrat running against a deeply unpopular human being ( I still think he wasn’t that bad a President) in the form of Donald Trump, moderate Democrat wins. OK. Not the best outcome but I could see it happening and I may be in the minority but if you look at the bigger picture, I do believe that Biden won the election and we should move on.
Now we have elected this moderate Democrat, one who will unite this country and fight this pandemic and we will do it with the full strength of the US Government(i.e. US Treasury). Yes, go get ‘em Joe!!
Well, without beating a dead horse, we all pretty much know what happened. President Biden basically had a huge hand in destroying this country. This country is more divided now than ever and we really only have ourselves to blame. The wave that brought Donald J. Trump into office was a partial no-show this time around and that is the crux of it. He had supporters that were going to vote for him no matter what, but their were a large group of Republican supporters that hated him and voted for Biden or did not vote. The Republicans had to know this was a distinct possibility but did nothing prior to the election and decided after they lost that the election was tainted. I do not know if there was or there wasn’t so I can’t give an informed opinion. My guess is that there was some. However, what rock did you crawl out from under to believe that the only voter fraud was done by Democrats. I am sure the Republican hands are a little dirty on this as well. Do I think it’s a wash. No, but it’s done and over and again, we live with the consequences.
When Joe Biden was sworn in, I wished him well and hoped for his success because I felt that a President’s success was a country’s success. How naive and stupid was I? President Biden has not done one thing so far, to improve this country’s success. Nothing. He has created so much havoc and is being guided by a faction of the Democratic party that does not believe in American success. Yet, 53% of Americans voted for him. 53% of Americans were duped.
We have ourselves to blame for the rabbit hole of crap we are sliding into. We put this guy in office. We put those puppet masters in office. We did not fight the tsunami of stupidity coming out of Washington. It has flooded every person in this country and it is all our fault.
I believe in taking the blame when it is warranted and there is much to go around. For example, New York State has sunk to just below Kansas in overall livability. I have been to Kansas and that really is not saying much. This state has been hijacked by Democrats for decades and the slide should be laid directly at their feet. Raising taxes to fund programs that are mired in waste and inefficiency. Doesn’t work, who cares, it’s in my district. We New Yorkers allowed this sewage to take residence in Albany and we suffer for it.
The overall point is that while you may think that your one vote may not matter much in a Presidential election, I disagree every vote does count. Maybe more so locally. You elect Congressmen and Congresswomen. You put the likes of AOC in office or Ilhan Omar in office, you can remove them as well.
At some point in history, the Democratic party veered off to a place that wants the destruction of the Democracy instead of being a party of the people. The working man, which used to be a base can no longer identify with the elements leading the Democratic party. They hate Pelosi and Schumer and The Squad. They want a party that protects worker’s rights and a party that has always believed in helping the helpless. Now, it is a different animal.
The pendulum is swinging back towards the middle and in the interest of saving this country from utter collapse, both parties should put people in the race that think America first and not some destructive faction of their own party. To counter the incompetence in the White House, we need competence in Congress. Is that too much to ask?
Moderate Democrat wins…not the best outcome? Stopped reading there. Still love you but you’re pushing it
