Watching LA Burn, Again

I am really not sure where this column is going to go. I try to keep Wednesday’s column on political point and I think there are some politics involved but for the most part, it’s just disgusting, what is transpiring in Los Angeles right now.

I 100% believe in the right to peaceful protests. I may not agree with the protestors but I do believe in their right to say it, feel it and march with it.

If they follow the laws that are in place to make sure protests do not get out of hand, fine, roll with it. You want to protest McDonalds taking the fish sandwhich off the menu because Greenpeace told them to, sure, knock yourself out.

You protest because of injustice, fine. You can be pissed and your voice will be heard. It may not make any difference but that is just how things go.

You are pissed because of the possible heavy handed response of ICE and Homeland Security rousting people? Fine, march your little hearts away.

When things turn violent, that’s when whatever you are protesting gets lost.

It’s like having an argument that turns into a screaming, cursing match. Whatever point you may have had, disintegrates.

That is the problem with these protests. They are pissed because ICE and Homeland security arrested (or detained) illegal aliens and were going to start the process of deportation. The thing that the media refuses to acknowledge is that regardless if these people are in a gang, raped a woman, robbed a liquor store or are just here trying to make a living, they are here illegally.

That is the bottomline. They are illegally in this country. They should be sent back to their home country and start the actual process of gaining entry and get the required visas and documentation to allow them to stay here and prosper.

We need legal immigrants and for all the liberals out there, the most important part of that is legal.

Do I believe that the US Government has a smooth and efficient process to grant legal immigration status, absolutely not and that is not a small thing. All of this could have been rectified if at some point someone in DC came up with a standard process for all immigration, funded the needed framework to get it done quickly and efficiently.

Would criminals still get into the US, sure. However, that number would be a lot less.

Every idiot in DC should watch Scarface. That is what happens when you invite the freedom loving people of an impoverished country into the US with no background checks. Tony Montana and his “Little Friend” appear.

You have the Washington Post doing a whole story about a reporter getting hit with a rubber bullet while covering the riots but they say absolutely nothing about a truckload of these assholes riding around waving a Mexican flag screaming obscenities about the United states. Or the burning of the American flag two blocks away while these animals scream ”Death to America”.

Now, let’s be honest here. Do you think that this could happen in Houston? Probably not. The rednecks would round them up and send them from whence they came.

The country that has allowed them to come in and destroy the neighborhoods they live in should take back the streets that they have terrorized and because Gov. Newsom has the spine of a jellyfish and the Mayor of LA is a card carrying socialist, they have once again destroyed a swath of LA. What they also have done is forced the Los Angeles City and County police departments to deploy officers to deal with this instead of protecting a large part of the largest (by population) county in the United States.

That is why President Trump has done the not unprecedented act of calling in the National Guard.

The failure of the various Democratic Governors during all the George Floyd bullshit resulted in billions of dollars of losses and they made a martyr of this drug addict ex con. The media pushed that narrative for years and the media is now pushing the Trump overreach instead of what is actually happening on the ground.

There are a lot of people who may not feel comfortable with calling out the National Guard or having US Marines patrol on US soil and I do get that but when things are quickly getting completely out of control and the people in charge are not doing enough to protect the people they govern then maybe it’s time to restore order.

How could the Governor or the Mayor say that things are under control? How does the media cover this story and not report the burning of cars and stoning of police vehicles. The destruction of public and private property seems to be ok because these illegal immigrants are being persecuted.

The media wonders why the trust they used to have is lost.

The Democrats wonder why their party is falling into the shitter.

Donald Trump is to blame. It’s Trump’s fault. Screw that. He isn’t the problem here. He may be the only solution.
