Historically, every movement in US history has had its moment and then the pendulum swings back towards the center. For example, The Civil Rights Movement in the 60’s made great strides fighting for equality in this country. Jim Crow laws were eventually outlawed and on the surface, things were moving in the right direction for black Americans. Over time the momentum slowed but it never regressed. Things in 1985 were better in many ways for blacks than they were in 1965. The momentum slowed and there are still multiple issues that blacks are presented with on a daily basis that makes you wonder if there really was improvement at all. With that being said I think it is safe to say that opportunities exist today that did not exist 47 years ago so strides have been made and they will continue to be made. Racism still exists but this is not a racist country no matter what President Biden says.
This is just your opinion, mine differs significantly. I still love you though.
