While I sincerely try to keep an open mind. I do try to see the World from others viewpoints. Sometimes I am empathetic to their ideas. Sometimes not. I am fiscally Conservative and morally center of the road.
I can see some issues that Democrats believe in as areas of concern and I can also disagree with some Republican issues as well. Keep an open mind, listen to both sides and develop an opinion thats hopefully informed and has core biases set aside. In a perfect World everyone would listen and try to accept others opinions for what they are, opinions.
Unfortunately, we are not in that World. We may never be. The divisions in this country are just getting worse and worse and I’m sorry, everyone is to blame.
Some issues are continuing to drive a wedge in an already fractured society and it really needs to stop.
This may not help but I am still a bit confused about the situation in Georgia. A state with two Democratic Senators and when all was said and done, voted for Joe Biden for President. What is all the fuss from this Blue state about Voters Rights?
Let’s be frank here. No one you or I know has actually read the bill that the Georgia Legislature passed restricting voting rights. We get our information about this legislation from a media source and therein lies the problem.
If I watch Fox News I get a version that basically says “Whats the big deal?” The storyline is that a lot of the features in this bill are in the voting laws of many other states. Blue and Red. Why single Georgia out?
In the Liberal media you get the version that this legislation restricts people of color from having the opportunity to vote properly. People from poor communities need more time, more access to voting boxes and there should be no need to show any identification prior to voting.
From these two viewpoints it is apparent that the Liberal media is carrying the day as of now. MLB moving the All Star game to another site was the first blow. Then you have companies all of a sudden becoming activists and speaking out against this supposed abomination.
Interesting, since the risk these companies run is alienating their customers that believe that these restrictions are fair and correct. So, they have decided to chose a side finally. I am not sure but to me that’s divisive. For some of these executives that called for bringing the country back together it seems hypocritical to take a stand like this.
I don’t have intimate knowledge of the voting laws that were enacted but there is one thing I do believe, people should show a legitimate ID to vote in any and every state. If you are a resident you should have some sort of ID to prove you are a resident.
If I am falling on the wrong side to some, so be it.
Nope, Your bias isn't showing through, Its your common sense that is.
