Don't Look Behind the Curtain
To finally hear someone from the present administration call the scenario that is unfolding on the Southern Border of the United States a “crisis” is refreshing. They are realizing that maybe, just maybe, this policy of open the doors and don’t bother shutting them, really isn’t going to work.
As I said before, I do believe that there should be some sort of consistent, constrained policy for immigration. No matter where they are coming from. What the Biden administration has unleashed is mayhem and everyone is losing in this act of the immigration play. And yes, this is a Biden administration screw up. So to listen to that genius Kamala Harris say this is the result of the previous administration’s policies borders on the insane.
Just think, she is just a heartbeat away from the Presidency and to me, thats a more frightening thought than having Joe Biden as President. At times I wonder, is Vice President Harris and her merry band of ultra-left pranksters, whispering in President Biden’s ear? Seems to me it is very possible and while Vice President’s normally take a very backseat approach to running the country, a trusted advisor at best. VP Harris obviously has grander aspirations.
When Joe Biden was Vice President I don’t remember him ever giving a speech or saying anything about anything. In the eight years of the Obama Presidency, I don’t recall VP Biden doing or saying anything. Now we have a VP that wants to make a name for herself and be that attack dog that Joe Biden obviously needs.
How far does her influence go? How far does her relationship with the ultra left go?Those are two very legitimate questions we will all have to ask ourselves. There isn’t much we can do about it now anyway. America took it’s dislike for Donald Trump and didn’t think about the alternative.
President Biden from what I can tell is a decent man. Bland, very good political instincts and apparently, no backbone. The seeds of this horrible immigration policy were planted in his head before the election. He said pretty bluntly that we can handle two million immigrants with no problem. “Heck, we are a country of 325 million people, whats another two million?” His words, not mine. That was during the campaign, what did you think was going to happen? The trucks and caravans were loaded up before November and the results are plain to see.
Do you really think that this was his idea? I don’t. I think the more liberal factions of the Democratic party thought that an influx of immigrants to those once solid Republican states of Texas and Arizona would change the makeup of the electorate for generations to come. Think about it, adding two million people who will most assuredly vote for Democrats is going to impact Congressional makeup. Why do you think the Democrats want to add Washington DC (85% Democrat) and Puerto Rico (65% Democrat) to the Union. Four more seats in the Senate and probably ten seats in the House.
Again, I may be looking at this too simplistically but when it comes to politics, I never dismiss underlying motivations. The voices in President Biden’s ear may not have the Country’s best interests at heart and that is very disturbing but I suppose, that’s politics.
