Ball of Confusion
I normally write my articles the day of or a day before but this one is different, given the pending situation that is evolving hour by hour.
I started writing this one on Monday and I have a million ideas running through my ancient brain.
The first thing I want to go over is how good it felt to watch some moron host of CNN sit there and listen to five different experts extoll the events that played out earlier. The US bombed three nuclear sites in Iran. Precisely. Possibly destroying all or most of their nuclear enrichment and bomb making facilities. The host was looking for someone to come and say something negative and it never happened. He, like all of the Liberal press, had a very hard time at first saying anything other than the facts. It was weird, getting the actual news without some bias.
I am sure that will never happen again.
Later on in the day, CNN was back to regularly scheduled anti Trump messaging. All is right with the World I suppose.
They put on multiple Democrat Congressmen and Senators downplaying the action and trying to change the narrative. President Trump did not have the authority. He violated the War Powers act, Blah Blah Blah.
They conveniently forget that pretty much every President in the last half century has done something similar.
“The President does not have the power to declare war”. 100% true but they leave out the fact that President Trump has not declared war on anyone. The last time war was actually declared by Congress was in 1944 I think. Korea? No. Vietnam? No. We have lost 120,00 men and women in “Military actions” that our President got us into and Congress repeatedly funded.
This is not that.
This is a President actually making a decision with some backbone and balls and the Democrats would rather protect the rights of Transgender witch doctors in the Congo than make the correct decision of putting to bed Iran’s aspirations of being a nuclear power.
To hear Adam Schiff, who by the way may be the worst human on the planet, come out and dribble on about the Presidents actions, repulsed me so much. I will put him at the head of class of shit that used to have AOC as it’s head.
Oh yeah, that idiot wants to start impeachment proceedings again against President Trump. First off, on what grounds? He acted in the best interest of our interests in the Middle East. Just like every other President before him. Second, she will never ever get enough support in the Senate. She is a blow hard who is fairly ignorant and is given way too much credit.
The President, whether you like him or hate him, made the decision and our military carried out it’s mission perfectly.
Let the Democrats stew over that. he did something that needed to be done with no doubt in his mind. Decisive action by a President? Those words have rarely been spoken.
Let CNN and MSNBC, The Washington Post and The New York Times all show flaws in the plan. Say how it was a complete failure. How could we do this?
They are all scrambling because no matter what President Trump does, it is wrong. I hope the Iranian government falls and a new Democratic leadership comes in and the World moves moves forward.
Give Obama a Noble Peace Prize before he even took office? He did nothing in 8 years and he is venerated. Trump may have just moved the needle in an location that hasn’t had the needle moved in 35 years and he gets trashed by the media.
Thank God he could care less what they say.
It’s now Tuesday and things are still playing out in the Middle East. The Iranians shot some missiles at a American airbase and that was a big nothing. The President announced a ceasefire before the actual ceasefire was agreed upon and in typical fashion, both sides violated the ceasefire. What does any of this mean? Pretty much nothing.
You can’t have peace until both sides come to terms withever it is they need to come to terms with. Hard to do in the Middle East because the Mullahs and clerics that run Iran have two things on their mind, destroy Israel and that other Devil, The United States and Allah. Their God that has led them to this.
Which is comical because no God in any religion would call for the destruction of a nation state that was established in the 1940’s.
I don’t know if there will be any resolution to this conflict directly but I have to believe that while the leaders of Iran are considering their options, they are getting some pretty heated messages from Bejing. Maybe from Moscow but I am not how many people are picking up Putin’s calls right now.
The Chinese will be feeling diplomatic heat shortly and they may start to pull back from delivering weapons to the Iranians. That could cause a problem for the Ayatollah. The Israeli’s have been pounding known arms manufacturing sites in Iran and have crippled a good portion of the air defense system so basically, right now, the Iranian military is a sitting duck for the Israeli air force. With no support from China, it probably will not be long before they realize they have no way to defend themselves. Typically, when leadership does not read the room properly, it either cause great harm to their people and eventually the people will storm the Bastille and end their rein, or their own underlings end their rein. Either way, it doesn’t end well.
I bring up the Chinese because I think it’s important to the story. The Chinese have had these grand ambitions, stomp on the Americans and become the World’s dominant power. That is until president Trump got reelected. What Trump did with this little sorte’ into Iran is tell the World that we have the ability to do things that other countries can not do. We now have a President who is willing to do those things and who does not give two shits about the court of World opinion. He is willing to make decisions that his predecessors could not or would not make. That is what that 36 roundtrip flight did. I really don’t care if it was complete annihilation or not. It sent the most powerful message that has been sent since Hiroshima. With zero cost of American lives.
That is it.
The World can thank Trump later but the fact is, this bombing run set back Iran’s nuclear ambitions. As long as the powers that be are still in charge in Iran, they will continue to try and develop a nuclear strike capability. The US and other Western nations will have to be vigilant about who is procuring what and you can probably put down a safe bet that that fat dictator in North Korea is involved somewhere and somehow. He could be a shill for the Chinese or doing it on his own but rest assured he is sending his people, his technology and equipment to Iran.
This is where diplomacy might help. The North Koreans get a lot of food and oil through China so they have some say what that little dictator does. Putting pressure on China may change the arc of that relationship.
I have said this a million times though. The Chinese are not to be trusted, ever. The only leverage is hurting trade and Donald Trump knows this. They want to negotiate? Put some fire under their ass and tell them that whatever they are doing directly or indirectly with Iran needs to stop. Will it work? Probably only partially but it is a start.
Did Vladimir Putin take notice? I am sure he did but with his ego it probably didn’t say much to him. He can’t beat a corrupt country like Ukraine or a backwards country like Afghanistan, what makes him think he would have any chance against the US? Anyway, his generals took note and they either respected the move and will be pushing for more money to build something better than the Americans or realize, they will never be able to outspend the US. Just like Reagan did with Star Wars.
Overall, success or not it was bold and showed Americans and the World that this was not the bullshit spewing from Obama’s mouth or the dribble from Biden’s mouth, this was action with cause.
Finally, Its Wednesday and the news is still confusing. Bottomline however is that a message was sent and the two sides are sitting down and apparently have agreed to a ceasefire that as of this morning is barely holding.
All in all a very successful week for President Trump, no matter what Jake Tapper says.
